- 11 to 24 mph over the speed limit – ticket with $40 fine, $80 if in school or construction zone
- 25 mph or more over the speed limit – ticket can be up-charged from a traffic infraction to a misdemeanor.
These differ from penalties related to speeding if you are pulled over by an officer. A ticket for going 10-19 mph over the speed limit would include a $155 fine and 4 points on your license. 20-39 mph over would mean a $205 fine and 6 points on your license.
